Stute Theatre has evolved. We are proud to say we are now Stute Theatre CIC!
We are a collaborative theatre company run by Sophia Hatfield and Veronika Diamond. Each piece of work at Stute Theatre is shaped by freelance artists, arts organisations and communities with access to the arts at its heart.
At Stute Theatre CIC we believe that great theatre should be for everyone. We create exciting, multidisciplinary work that pushes the limits of small-scale touring. We use storytelling, live music, puppetry and physical theatre. We use creative technology and build worlds out of household objects. We work with multi-skilled performers, directors, producers, designers and makers.
We make high quality work for children, families, young people and adults. We tour to libraries, theatres, community spaces and schools - even a canal boat once! We run educational workshops and creative writing sessions. We gather stories from local communities and share them with care. We adapt existing texts for modern audiences and write new pieces of work telling stories that need to be heard.
Crucially, we put audiences and communities at the heart of all we do.
Whether you're looking to book a show or workshop, set up a community arts project, access one of our live streams or even create a brand new piece of theatre, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
